About the Office of the State Fire Marshal
The Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) is a division of the San Andreas Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (SanFire), responsible for statewide fire prevention, life safety enforcement, and fire investigation.
Serving communities across the State of San Andreas, the OSFM provides leadership in reducing fire risk, enforcing fire and life safety codes, and determining the origin and cause of fires. Through coordination with local and state agencies, the Office ensures a consistent and professional approach to fire safety and public protection.

Bureau Structure
Fire Prevention Bureau
Responsible for inspections, permitting, and the enforcement of fire and life safety regulations across commercial, industrial, and public occupancies. This division works directly with businesses and the public to ensure compliance and reduce fire hazards.
Arson & Bomb Investigations Bureau
Sworn peace officers assigned to investigate fires, explosions, and related criminal activity, including arson and use of explosives.
Public Education & Risk Reduction
Provides outreach, education, and safety initiatives designed to reduce preventable fires and increase public awareness of fire hazards and safety practices.
Training & Professional Standards
Supports standards, policy development, and ongoing training for personnel assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
Authority & Jurisdiction
Pursuant to the San Andreas Penal Code, the State Fire Marshal and authorized representatives of the Office of the State Fire Marshal are recognized as peace officers within the State of San Andreas. This authority permits enforcement of applicable laws, investigation of public offenses, and coordination with allied agencies in the interest of public safety.
