Trucking Improvements

Featured Replies

After looking over the trucking job, I feel there can be some major improvements for RP and for functionality.

  1. Lower there radius in which you can pick up your cargo and load your cargo. I can legit sit in one spot and just spam E and get everything done. You should be right up on the box to load it and right up on the trailer to place it.

  2. Remove loading the forklift and just have it spawn at the drop off location. While this is realistic for, lets say masonry, housing materials etc, the current forklift looks and feels wrong to have on the back of the truck. A truck mounted forklift load and unloads from the rear (the forks go into the back of the truck) and is much more compact.

  3. Require the player to die down the load to secure it. Make the player go to each side and secure each piece of cargo with 2 tie-downs. This would provide so much more realism (make it actually show as well, LSRP did this and it was great. I liked it)

  4. Make a menu for the trucking job. Essentially, we would get the trucking job adn then do /trucking ANYWHERE. This gives us a list of routes and what the cargo is, what the price is etc. This is much more realistic as usually there are brokers who do this for you, since we dont have brokers, this can be RP'd as virtual brokers lol.

  5. Have different types of cargo, legal limits and the ability to exceed the legal limits (some like to live on the edge, but watch out for LSPD and LSSD!!)

Also, make the cargo visible by everyone no matter what.
