As we currently stand, in my opinion, the minimap is quite colorful with vaious icon colors across the board, which can perhaps make it difficult for players to quickly read what is happening in the city at a quick glance.

My suggestion is simple, standardize all minimap icons to a uniform color by default. When a location becomes active, whether that's a biz opening, a live event, or any other active point of interest, the icon switches to a distinct color to signal that something is happening there. Maybe a bright green for open/active or a red one up to your liking.

This would keep the map clean and readable, while making active locations pop up immediately for anyone looking. Also I think it's very functional.
