Faction Activity System (FAS)

Featured Replies

I’d like to suggest adding a Faction Activity System to the server to provide a consistent way of tracking faction activity.

The system would automatically calculate a player’s FAS based on the amount of eligible faction activity they complete over a rolling period, preferably the previous 30 days.

For example, the server could track how much time a player spends actively on duty with a faction and divide that activity across the 30-day period to create their FAS score.

Example:

  • 15 hours of eligible faction activity in 30 days = roughly 0.50 FAS

  • 30 hours = roughly 1.00 FAS

  • 45 hours = roughly 1.50 FAS

  • 60 hours = roughly 2.00 FAS

Only actual duty activity should count toward the calculation. Ideally, the system would begin tracking when a player goes on duty for their faction and stop tracking when they go off duty (disconnect or remain AFK for an extended period). For illegal factions, it would be up to Koso on how that would work.

The system should allow players to view their own FAS for each faction they are currently a member of.

Faction Management should have access to a broader dashboard showing:

  • The overall/average FAS of each faction.

  • Every member within the faction and their individual FAS .

  • Total eligible activity hours for each member.

  • Potentially when the member was last active.

  • Members who fall below whatever activity requirement is established for that faction.

If someone belongs to multiple factions, their activity should be tracked separately for each faction rather than combining everything into one FAS score.

This would give Faction Management an objective way of seeing how active a faction actually is instead of judging activity entirely through screenshots, Discord activity or roster size.

Each individual faction would create their own FAS rules. Faction Management can and will create a required FAS level for each faction. The FAS itself wouldn't automatically punish or remove anyone as that is up to the faction and faction management. It would primarily serve as an activity tracking and management tool that Faction Management and faction leadership can use when reviewing faction health and individual activity.

(Yes, most of you know this as ABAS. I didn't want to use that acronym because... well, we're RPP!)
