W/S Varrio Diablos 13, also known as Bayside Devils, La Raza, D13, or SUR-Side, is a street gang formed following the 2020 indictment of the Rancho Playboys 13, where multiple high-ranking members were hit with a RICO case. Among those indicted was Diego Juarez, who became one of the main targets of the case, ultimately receiving six years in Bolingbroke Penitentiary on multiple felony charges. After serving his time, Juarez was eventually released on alleged good behavior, returning to a neighborhood that had changed in his absence. Operating under the Sureño umbrella, the Varrio Diablos are rebuilding from the ground up after the heavy blow dealt to their predecessor. With Rancho no longer being their home, the set has established itself in Vespucci, claiming territory from the boulevard up toward the canals. The Varrio Diablos are a young set with something to prove. Their story revolves around rebuilding their name, earning respect, dealing with internal struggles, and finding their place within the wider Sureño structure.

Starting from the ground up, we aim to showcase the struggles, conflicts, relationships, and growth that come with building a name in the streets.
