F8.4 Corruption RP Requires Admin Approval                                                                                                                                                                                           BAN
Want to play a dirty cop or corrupt paramedic? You must get admin approval first. No going rogue within a legal faction without permission.

I believe that when it comes to corrupt roleplay, this should not be handled directly by admins. Instead, a formal process should be put in place where requests are submitted via forum PMs to the Head of Legal Factions, the Legal Faction Manager (LFM), or the relevant Faction Leader (Police, Sheriff, Medical Services, or Political factions).

This would provide better oversight and filtering of corruption roleplay requests while also maintaining proper records of all approved corruption-related storylines involving legal factions. Such a system would improve accountability, consistency, and long term tracking of corruption roleplay.

In addition, any request for corrupt roleplay should include a well-developed character background and a credible motive explaining why the character would engage in corruption.

Hello,

I've referred your suggestion to @koso who leads IFM.

Also, welcoming other members to leave their POV on this.

The formal process you're already describing is not too different from what  "admin approval" already is in practice, it'll pretty much serve as a filter, a record and a check. The difference is we want that filter sitting with people who actually have full visibility across the server rather than within a single faction's chain of command as it keeps things cleaner and harder to exploit. If anything, I'd personally welcome the idea of building out what a strong corruption request looks like in more detail, i.e, motive - char background - storyline, etc. That's worth formalizing and I'll bring this forth to Enzo & management.

Here’s the LFM ruling on this;

Corruption perms: Corruption is to be taken IC, although any funds gathered from LFM cannot be used for this process. Legal faction members of a faction that have GOV ties or are a GOV faction, may submit an application for corruption perms through the Head of LFM. These will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Hope this clears it up for you!
