Founded in 2003 by CEO Orson Gould, Velvet Trace has remained committed to continued investment in commercial startups and business growth in the Golden State. Operating as an independent financial firm not owned by any larger national or global banks, we seek to deliver asset-backed credit to prospective business founders and successful commercial enterprises. Orson Gould, CEO & Founder of Velvet Trace Capital Incorporated. Having pursued a lifelong career in investment and finance, Orson Gould brings his vision of mutual capital growth between firm and client. Mr. Gould believes investment in a new enterprise is about more than the dollar value—it's also about mentorship, consultation, accountability, and trust. While banks lend money based purely on credit score and dollar value, content to drive an account red or send it to collections if it fails, Velvet Trace strives to take a deeper interest in the long-term success of its accounts. OUR MISSION— At Velvet Trace, we bridge the gap between ambitious business owners and the capital required to build lasting and successful commercial enterprises. By providing business owners access to the market liquidity necessary to scale operations, we aim to finance, structure, and secure the commercial sector of Los Santos. While some are privileged enough to be born into the wealth needed to learn through trial and failure, we at Velvet Trace recognize that many sharp entrepreneurs and visionary innovators lack the inherited capital to make their vision a reality. There's no need to waste the best years of your life daydreaming about creating a venture that the market needs, when you can spend that time living out that dream instead. OUR PHILOSOPHY— Velvet Trace believes in structured risk management, discretion, and long-term institutional relationships rather than quick transactional deals. We encourage our employees to strive to make every client a partner. While we understand the needs of some clients may not exceed a single agreement with Velvet Trace, we hope to foster a long-term friendship with successful enterprises in the form of an account, through which we can offer more favorable terms for lines of credit and access to Velvet Trace's resources. New employees to the company are encouraged to adapt to our values with Gaia. Growth: Velvet Trace's success is not strictly measured by the size of its account. We encourage our employees to always be on the lookout for new clients to bring into our portfolio, as well as ways to help our clients and accounts continue to expand and improve their own operations. We see our employees as investments worth continually pushing to improve and develop as long-term partners of Velvet Trace. Agency: We encourage our employees to engage in a proactive lifestyle, making key decisions on their own and solving problems without needing to rely on a chain of custody. Driven by the three principles of the High Agency Triangle, we encourage our employees to believe: "I will figure it out." "I am willing to be misunderstood." "I can fix it if it breaks." We actively reward employees who successfully mitigate defaults and close cases with our Eat What You Kill Commission Structure (Patent Pending). Integrity: At Velvet Trace, we trust our employees to manage liability and avoid assuming unreasonable risks on behalf of the company. We aim to share a company-wide vision of risk mitigation and market literacy, discouraging the leveraging of assets between accounts or against personal stakes in the market. While we encourage day trading during employee downtime to maintain market literacy, our employees understand the dangers inherent to influencing company operations in order to adjust personal outcomes. Accountability: Our department heads conduct Quarterly Performance Reviews of all employees under their jurisdiction, with department heads subject to performance reviews including the performance of their entire team, once every fiscal quarter. In addition to encouraging employees to look out for one another, these performance reviews allow the company to reward outstanding behavior as well as propose Performance Adjustment Plans to rectify shortcomings in employee conduct. By tying perks and promotions to overall quarterly performance, Velvet Trace aims to foster a workplace culture of introspection and proactive self-improvement rather than traditional and unproductive punitive measures.
