From public safety agencies and government departments to businesses and public services, these organizations create the foundation for countless roleplay opportunities across the server. Our goal is to make the faction creation process accessible without sacrificing quality. We aren't looking for lengthy applications filled with unnecessary information; we're looking for organized, realistic concepts backed by leaders who are committed to creating meaningful roleplay for the community. This guide outlines the requirements, expectations, and submission process for establishing a Legal Faction. Before submitting your application, take the time to review the information below to ensure your proposal is complete and gives your faction the best opportunity for approval. LFM Guide Before you apply Before submitting a Legal Faction application, it is important to ensure that your concept is fully developed and that you are prepared for the responsibilities that come with leading an organization on Roleplay Project. A faction is not just a group or a name; it is an active, ongoing commitment to creating roleplay, managing members, and maintaining standards over time. Applicants should have a clear understanding of what their faction will do, how it will operate, and how it will contribute to the server environment. ⚠ At Minimum, you should have the following prepared before applying: A clearly defined concept with a realistic purpose within the server A basic understanding of the real-world counterpart or inspiration behind your faction A general idea of structure, leadership, and internal organization Availability and commitment to actively lead and manage the faction An understanding of the responsibilities involved in managing members and operations Be a member of the LFM discord Faction Management is looking for applicants who demonstrate preparation, consistency, and long-term vision. Applications that are submitted without a clear direction or with incomplete planning are unlikely to be successful. Taking the time to properly develop your idea before applying significantly improves your chances of approval and helps ensure your faction can be sustained after launch. LFM Guide Choosing a faction type Legal factions on Roleplay Project can take many forms, ranging from public safety and government services to civilian-run businesses and community organizations. Choosing the right faction type is an important first step, as it defines your role within the server and the kind of roleplay you will provide to others. Your concept should fit naturally into the world and create opportunities for interaction, rather than existing in isolation. The strongest factions are those that fill a clear need or provide consistent services that other players can engage with. ⓘ Common Legal Faction Types Include: Public Safety Agencies (Fire, EMS, Rescue Services) Law Enforcement Agencies (if applicable under server guidelines) Government Departments and Administrative Offices Public Works and Utility Services Transportation Services (towing, taxi, transit, logistics) Media and News Organizations Private Security Companies Legal Services and Law Firms Healthcare Providers and Medical Clinics Civilian Businesses (retail, service-based, or corporate entities) While the above categories are common, applicants are encouraged to be creative as long as the concept remains realistic and fits within the server’s lore and setting. Unnecessary duplication of existing factions or overly niche concepts with limited interaction potential may not be suitable. When selecting your faction type, consider not only what you want to create, but also how it will actively contribute to roleplay across the server. LFM Guide Application Process Once your Legal Faction concept is fully developed, you may proceed with submitting an application through the designated Faction Management channels. All applications must be complete, organized, and include sufficient detail to allow for proper review. At a minimum, your submission should clearly outline your faction’s purpose, structure, intended operations, and overall roleplay direction. After submission, applications will be reviewed by Faction Management. During this process, you may receive feedback, questions, or requests for clarification or adjustments. Applicants are expected to respond professionally and make necessary revisions where required. LFM Guide Common reasons for denial Not all applications will be approved. Denials typically occur when a faction does not meet the standards required for long-term sustainability or server integration. ⓘ Common reasons for denial include but are not limited to: Lack of a clear or realistic purpose Poorly structured or incomplete documentation Unrealistic or lore-inconsistent concepts Excessive or unnecessary asset requests No defined leadership structure or operational plan Limited understanding of the faction’s real-world counterpart Failure to demonstrate long-term commitment or vision Duplicate concepts that already exist within the server Inability to effectively contribute to roleplay opportunities Applicants are encouraged to review feedback carefully and improve their concept before reapplying if denied. LFM Guide The Role of Legal Faction Management Legal Faction Management (LFM) is responsible for overseeing all legal factions within Roleplay Project. Our goal is to ensure that legal factions remain active, organized, realistic, and continue to provide meaningful roleplay opportunities for the community. LFM works alongside faction leadership throughout the entire lifecycle of a faction—from the initial application process to day-to-day operations and long-term development. Rather than simply approving or denying applications, LFM serves as a resource for faction leaders by providing guidance, feedback, and oversight whenever necessary. Each approved Legal Faction is assigned a dedicated Faction Handler. Think of your Handler as your primary point of contact within Legal Faction Management. Handlers work directly with faction leadership to ensure your organization has the support it needs while remaining compliant with server policies and expectations. Your assigned Handler is responsible for: ⓘ Your assigned Handler is responsible for: Answering questions regarding faction policies and procedures. Reviewing requests before they are escalated to the wider LFM team, when applicable. Providing guidance on documentation, structure, and organization. Assisting with operational concerns and conflict resolution. Monitoring the overall health and activity of your faction. Conducting periodic check-ins with faction leadership. Serving as the liaison between your faction and Legal Faction Management. Faction leaders should communicate with their assigned Handler whenever possible rather than contacting multiple members of LFM. This ensures requests are handled efficiently, prevents duplicate work, and maintains a clear chain of communication. If your Handler is unavailable for an extended period or a matter requires additional review, it will be escalated to another member of LFM as appropriate. Your Handler is there to help your faction succeed. Maintaining open communication, responding to requests in a timely manner, and being receptive to feedback will help ensure your faction continues to grow and provide quality roleplay. Remember that your Handler is not responsible for running your faction—you are. Their role is to provide guidance, oversight, and support while allowing faction leadership the autonomy to manage their organization.
