(( What this faction is:

The Los Santos Police Department is a procedure focused law enforcement faction built for serious text roleplay. It exists to portray believable policing where actions carry weight, responses are measured, and characters develop over time. All server rules apply fully to LSPD members. This is not an arcade style system and not a simple cops versus criminals setup. The objective is grounded, story driven interaction that feels authentic within the world and supports long term character development.
‎‎
‎

	What is expected of members:

Members are expected to portray complete characters, not just uniforms. Your character should have a background, personality, habits, and personal priorities that make sense. Officers must follow the chain of command, use proper radio conduct, and complete required in character reports such as arrest, incident, or force reports within their shift. Documentation is intentionally streamlined so it remains part of roleplay rather than feeling like a second real-life job.
‎
Real life outside the server always comes first. At the same time, your character’s personal life also comes before their badge and the faction. Officers should have hobbies, relationships, downtime, and interests beyond police work. Do not build a character whose entire identity is the faction as this is not the faction for that.
‎
The goal is for the faction to be shaped by the depth and variety of its members, not the other way around. Leadership operates as a team and remains approachable, and members are encouraged to contribute ideas, suggestions, and roleplay initiatives that strengthen the department.
‎‎‎
‎

	What is not allowed:

Regular checks will be conducted on the quality and consistency of character portrayal within the faction. Characters that are unrealistic, robotic, or do not make sense within the setting will not be accepted. A single warning will be issued, and failure to improve will result in removal from the faction. Appeals may be considered at leadership discretion.

Out-of-character hostility toward other law enforcement factions (faction-bashing) is not tolerated. Interactions between factions must remain professional and respectful outside of roleplay.

Play to win behavior, metagaming, spawn camping, or out of character hostility towards faction members and server members as a whole are not tolerated. Favoritism has no place here. Promotions and discipline are handled fairly through strict in-character progression and actions. Rank does not grant anyone permission to control, belittle, or command others out of character. Creating a toxic environment is prohibited. This includes constantly targeting others, trying to outdo them, correcting them excessively, putting them down, or using in-character behavior as a mask for out-of-character intent. If the goal behind an action is to embarrass, dominate, or undermine another player rather than create roleplay, it is not acceptable and will be met with action.
‎
Falsifying reports, planting or altering evidence, running unauthorized operations, or abusing mechanics to force outcomes is forbidden. Officers are not meant to act like emotionless machines. Judgment, restraint, and believable reactions are expected.

‎‎‎‎

	The vision and the origin:

This faction draws inspiration from real metropolitan policing standards, particularly practices associated with the Los Angeles Police Department and broader West Coast law enforcement culture. Structural and behavioral elements are used when they improve realism, but they are always adapted to fit gameplay and the environment of this server. The aim is believable and fair roleplay, not imitation for its own sake.
‎
‎

	Faction growth:

As the server grows, the department will expand with it. This includes increased staffing, additional stations, expanded divisions, and a broader command structure introduced through planned updates. Growth will be paced carefully so organization, quality, and roleplay standards remain strong as the faction develops. ))

(( IMPORTANT NOTE:

(( Character kills involving faction members follow the same rules and consequences as any other character on the server. The faction does not render your character as immune.
‎
Metagaming to gain advantage or obtain information for any reason results in immediate removal from the faction and a permanent ban from it on the first occurrence. There is no warning stage for this.

This also applies to any form of enabling or complicity. Players who assist, facilitate, conceal, or otherwise support metagaming will receive the same punishment. This includes being aware of metagaming and failing to report it or take action to stop it when reasonably able to do so. ))
